Stay Active with At-Home Exercises + Yoga Flow

Staying active while at home is essential for maintaining physical and mental well-being. Incorporating a mix of at-home exercises and yoga into your routine can help you stay fit and destress. Here, we'll explore some effective at-home exercises and a relaxing yoga flow to keep you active and centered.

At-Home Exercises:

1. Bodyweight Squats: Stand with your feet hip-width apart and lower your body by bending your knees. Keep your chest up and back straight. Push through your heels to return to the starting position.

2. Push-Ups: Start in a plank position with your hands shoulder-width apart. Lower your body until your chest nearly touches the floor, then push back up.

3. Plank: Hold a plank position with your body in a straight line from head to heels. Engage your core and hold for 30-60 seconds.

Yoga Flow:

Begin with some gentle stretches to warm up your body. Then, flow through the following sequence:

  1. Mountain Pose (Tadasana): Stand tall with your feet together, arms at your sides, and palms facing forward. Take deep breaths and ground yourself.
  2. Downward-Facing Dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana): From a plank position, lift your hips up and back, forming an inverted V shape with your body. Press your heels towards the floor.
  3. Warrior II (Virabhadrasana II): Step one foot back, keeping your front knee bent at a 90-degree angle. Extend your arms out parallel to the floor and gaze over your front hand.
  4. Tree Pose (Vrikshasana): Shift your weight onto one foot and place the sole of the other foot on the inner thigh or calf of the standing leg. Bring your hands to prayer position at your chest.
  5. Corpse Pose (Savasana): Lie on your back, arms by your sides, palms facing up. Close your eyes and focus on deep relaxation and breathing.

Remember to listen to your body and modify any poses or exercises as needed. Stay hydrated and enjoy the process of moving and connecting with your body at home!
